Case Study2025-09-02

Poultry farming in Peru produces concentrated volumes of manure that need careful management. For this project, a customer producing organic fertilizer required an efficient, space-saving composting system for their poultry litter and manure mix.

We supplied a groove type compost turner running on fixed guide rails. The system turns material continuously along the fermentation grooves, providing the aeration and mixing that drive fast, even composting with far less land than open windrows.

The groove design was chosen because it fits the customer's existing building layout, keeps the process organized and requires only one operator. The machine's turning depth and speed were configured for the poultry litter's moisture and fiber content.

Delivery included the turner, guide rails, installation guidance and operating documentation. The customer now produces stable, mature compost that feeds their organic fertilizer finishing line.

Groove systems suit producers with limited land, fixed building layouts or continuous fermentation requirements. If your site has similar constraints, our engineers can help you select the right turner type and groove dimensions.
